Novel Study - week 9

 

We're finally done with the novel study! The book was very interesting and one of the tasks for this week was a summary so you can catch yourself all up on the final chapter without reading the actual chapter! And for the last research task, I researched gold. Have you read a book in a while? If so, what book was it?

Tract

 

This week we had to do something in Tract. Tract is a learning site with paths you can follow and then post the things you've learnt and made onto. We can get coins and use those coins to do many different things like planting a tree. When I saw this origami walkthrough, I thought it was a nice challenge to try. Of course, as you can see, it went horribly wrong but I'm still proud of it. Have you tried origami? And if so, do you like it?

Reading - Novel study chapter 6

 

For reading this week I read chapter 6 and was curious about 'animal loyalty' so I researched about that. We also had to do a couple inferences and pick a 9 letter word and see how many words we can make out of that letter! I learnt a lot like the fact dogs are the most loyal pets and much more when researching it. Do you have a pet and what is it?

Get creative - Colour push

 Miss had sent us a slide of stuff we could do in get creative. One of the links that caught my eyes is the colour pusher! It's really fun and I loved drawing on it. Here are some of my favourite ones. Which one is your favourite? 

Maths - Equivalent fractions

 

This week Miss Tennant let us work on fractions using SWL's fractions slide. It was nice re-jogging my memory! Do you find these kinds of maths questions hard?
